This is truly an amazing set of 14 plates hand painted with various fruits and no two been the same by the famous Minton factory "Stoke Upon Trent, Walbrook London"

Each plate with the famous *Minton* turquoise blue rim and gold gilded rim

The inner part lavishly decorated with a heavy acid etched decoration with gold swags

The central panel hand painted with various fruits

Mark : Unusual gobe mark with two ribbons

The globe is not the same as shown in the "Goddens Pottery and Porcelain Marks"

Top Ribbon : Stoke Upon Trent

Bottom Ribbon : Walbrook London in puce

Hand painted number : G721 and a small blue mark

The only plate with two slight scratch marks : The 4 plums plate :see pic

The set has never been used as far as i can see as all the painting and rich gilding is in outstanding condition

Plate : 23,5cm

There are similar examples shown in the Cummings Collection, Gardiner Museum which have birds painted but the shape and gilding are identical.
