Raoul Lachenal worked in his fathers studio until 1911 when he then set up a workshop/studio at Boulogne-sur-Seine...where he is regarded amounst the best of French Potters of his time
The vase shown has a basic colour in black with its Art design in hues of blues and greens,framed with a thick lava. This gives the look of enameling making the various colours stand out
The turned over lip is typical of his works.
